Custom Aerospace Machine has taken delivery of another newly acquired MAZAK 510C Vertical Machining Center.
This acquisition was to enhance overall production levels of CAM and to provide support to HARRIS CORP. which recently received an 18-month follow-on contract from Boeing to provide Ka-band antennas for the fourth Inmarsat Global Xpress® satellite (original article).
This High-Speed machining center is capable of machining parts as long as 41″ with its 12,000rpm Spindle and high resolution 0.0001″ motion encoders. This acquisition brings Custom Aerospace’s total MAZAK inventory to six out of ten CNC Machining centers and CNC Lathes.
