Custom Aerospace Machine purchased an INTEGREX 200-IIIS (5 Axis) Mill/Turn Center. This unit has been in full operation in CAM’s facility for several months producing highly complex, multi-axis parts. With a 30HP main milling spindle, 40 tool carousel and Twin 8” 5000rpm Chucks, this machining center is in a class of its own. Parts requiring turning operations with secondary machining operations, can now be made without removing the material from the work envelope, for a true “One and Done” manufacturing process.
This acquisition was implemented to address CAM’s longer runs of serial production parts, a market that CAM is aggressively seeking to penetrate and support. This equipment acquisition brings CAM a new, and previously un-supported capability, to their arsenal of high end, high speed, multi-axis equipment.
